A recent study published in the journal BMC Public Health has found that spending more than six hours a day in sedentary behavior is significantly associated with a higher risk of developing neck pain. Common habits like bending the neck and slouching the shoulders while using phones, tablets, and computers place additional stress on the neck and upper back. This posture-related strain can lead to a range of musculoskeletal problems, particularly affecting the neck. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating regular movement and ergonomic practices into daily routines to reduce musculoskeletal pain and improve overall health.
