According to the Washington Post, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reportedly planning to ease the COVID-19 isolation guidelines this Spring, removing the need to isolate once individuals have been fever-free for 24 hours and symptoms are mild or improving. This update suggests a shift towards more flexible public health strategies, reflecting the greater immunity to Covid-19 in the population, access to treatment for Covid-19, and decreases in hospitalizations and deaths. The CDC emphasizes that its decisions will continue to be based on the latest scientific evidence to ensure the health and safety of communities in the U.S.
