Soda consumption associated with adverse health conditions

 UCLA Health

Soda and other sugary drinks are associated with many negative health outcomes. Studies have shown that frequent intake of these sugary beverages can lead to significant health issues and conditions, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and dental problems. Even the consumption of diet sodas has been scrutinized for its potential links to increased appetite, weight gain over time, and metabolic disruptions. Cutting back on soda and replacing it with healthier alternatives like water, herbal teas, or natural fruit juices can significantly reduce these health risks.
