Why M&M’s is changing Its classic candy colors

M&M’s is temporarily saying goodbye to two of its most recognizable colors, blue and brown, as the brand moves toward using more natural food dyes. While the change may surprise longtime fans, the reason is simple. These colors were too costly and complicated to replicate using natural ingredients. Mars is working to reduce artificial coloring while keeping the candy’s classic taste and playful appeal. The familiar candy may look a little different for now, but the goal is a cleaner, more modern version of the iconic treat.
