Unexpected habits linked to lower Parkinson’s risk

Parkinson’s disease is influenced by a mix of genetics, aging, and environmental factors, but research has uncovered a few surprising lifestyle and exposure-related factors that appear to be linked with a lower risk of developing Parkinson’s. Drink clean, filtered water to minimize exposure to heavy metals and contaminants; breathe clean air by avoiding pollution and secondhand smoke when possible; eat clean, whole foods rich in antioxidants to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation; keep your body moving with regular physical activity; and prioritize enough quality sleep. These steps aim to reduce harmful exposures and support the body in ways that may be protective over time.
