The National Sleep Foundation has released a new consensus guideline emphasizing the importance of maintaining consistent sleep schedules to support overall health and performance. Backed by evidence-based research, the guideline highlights that regular sleep-wake timing improves cognitive function, mood, and long-term health outcomes. Notably, it also allows for moderate βcatch-upβ sleep on non-work days, offering a practical approach for individuals who experience sleep deficits during the week while still prioritizing circadian rhythm stability.
