Prolonged exposure to road traffic noise may be associated with a higher risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, according to emerging research. Researchers suggest that chronic noise could contribute to stress, sleep disruption, inflammation, and other biological changes that may affect brain health over time. While the findings do not prove that traffic noise directly causes Parkinson’s disease, they add to growing concerns about the potential long-term health effects of environmental noise.
