How snoozing your alarm affects your sleep

Pressing snooze in the morning may feel like a small delay, but it can quietly add up. A recent study published in Scientific Reports found that the average person snoozes for about 11 extra minutes each morning, approximately a full night’s sleep over the course of a month. This fragmented rest can leave you feeling more tired instead of refreshed. Experts suggest simple changes like keeping a regular wake-up time, placing your alarm across the room, and letting in natural morning light. Aligning your alarm with sunrise and allowing sunlight through your windows may help your body wake up more smoothly.
