Why strength training matters when using GLP-1s for weight loss

GLP-1 medications can lead to rapid weight loss, but some of that loss may come from muscle if you’re not careful. Strength training helps preserve lean mass, supports metabolism, and improves overall function as the weight comes off. Pairing resistance exercises with enough protein and regular movement can help ensure the weight you lose is healthier, more fat, less muscle.
