Why eating dinner earlier may be better for your health

Dietitians suggest that eating dinner earlier in the evening may better support digestion and energy levels. Giving the body enough time to process food before bedtime can help maintain more stable energy and improve overall comfort at night. In contrast, eating too late or continuing to snack into the night can work against the body’s natural circadian rhythm, potentially affecting sleep, promoting weight gain, and increasing the risk of long-term conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
