When is it time to get a new toothbrush?

Most dentists suggest replacing your toothbrush every three to four months, and the same timing applies to electric toothbrush heads, which can wear down a bit faster. If the bristles start to fray or you’ve been sick, swapping it out sooner is a good idea. Not changing your toothbrush regularly can make it harder to clean your teeth well, which may contribute to issues like plaque buildup, tooth decay, or gum irritation over time.
