Exercising in hot weather can put extra stress on the body, increasing the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. To stay safe, exercise during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or evening, and gradually allow your body to adjust to higher temperatures. Wear lightweight, breathable clothing, drink water before, during, and after activity, and reduce the intensity or duration of your workout when heat or humidity is high. Pay attention to warning signs such as dizziness, headache, nausea, unusual weakness, or confusion, and stop exercising and move to a cool place if they occur.
