Short bursts of energy could help people live longer
A new study in Nature Medicine has found that minute long stints of high-intensity physical activity might be associated with longer life. Examples of high-intensity activity that you can do in your everyday life include jogging with a friend, running/fast walking to the bus stop, and/or high-energy play with your kids or pets. By engaging in physical activity that raises your heart rate for around three to four minutes each day, you can significantly reduce cancer-related and cardiovascular disease mortality risk.
