New weight loss treatments show significant blood pressure reduction

A recent study published in the American Heart Association journal Hypertension, has found that the drug tirzepatide significantly lowered the blood pressure of adults with overweight or obesity who took it for nine months. This study underscores the potential of innovative weight-loss treatments to not only facilitate significant weight loss but also markedly lower blood pressure, in turn improving heart health. However, the high costs of these new weight loss drugs and insufficient insurance coverage limit their accessibility to many who could benefit.
