Instant coffee linked to higher eye disease risk in some people

A recent genetic study suggests that people with certain genetic profiles who consume instant coffee may have a higher risk of developing specific eye conditions compared with those who drink other types of coffee or none at all. The findings don’t mean instant coffee is harmful for everyone, and they don’t prove direct cause and effect, but they highlight how genetics can influence how different people respond to the same dietary exposures. While further studies are needed the findings highlight the growing push toward personalized nutrition and targeted eye-health prevention.
