A good night of sleep does more than restore energy- it helps the brain reorganize information, connect distant ideas, and uncover solutions that may not seem obvious when you are tired. That is why some of your most creative ideas often appear after sleep. A new study published in the journal Scientific Reports also suggests that people may be especially creative after waking from the earliest stage of sleep, particularly when they are guided to dream about a specific topic, highlighting how even light sleep can help spark fresh insight.
