Children are naturally drawn to screens because fast-moving videos, games, and apps provide quick rewards that keep the brain wanting more. Over time, too much screen stimulation can make slower real-life activities feel less exciting. By understanding why kids crave screens, parents can set healthier limits and encourage activities like outdoor play, reading, creativity, sports, hobbies, and family time to help children find joy in everyday life again.
