According to the results of a recent preliminary assessment, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently found no evidence that Ozempic, Wegovy, or similar drugs lead to suicidal ideation. The FDA strongly emphasizes the importance of consulting with a healthcare provider before taking these drugs for Type 2 diabetes or weight loss. Healthcare professionals are also advised to keep monitoring their patients for suicidal thoughts or signs of symptoms of depression.
