A recent study presented at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons suggests combination eye drops can improve near vision in people with age-related long-sightedness. In a two-year analysis of 766 patients, many were able to read additional lines on a near-vision chart, especially with higher-strength drops, though experts say larger, controlled trials are still needed to confirm long-term safety and how well results generalize. If validated, the drops could be a convenient option for people who want less dependence on glasses or donβt want surgery.
