A recent study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry suggests that compounds found in espresso may help protect the brain against Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of neurodegeneration. Researchers found that certain molecules in espresso can interfere with the buildup of toxic protein aggregates linked to cognitive decline. While more research is needed to confirm these effects in humans, the findings highlight a potential neuroprotective benefit of moderate espresso consumption.
