As the use of modern weight-loss or semaglutide drugs continues to rise, new research is providing clearer insights into their potential side effects. While these drugs can be highly effective for weight reduction and metabolic health, studies are now identifying both common and less-recognized adverse effects, including gastrointestinal symptoms, nutritional issues, and possible long-term risks. Ongoing research and real-world data are helping clinicians better understand the safety profile of these medications and guide appropriate patient use.
