Cannabis use has been linked to a range of health risks, from cardiovascular events like heart attacks to mental health issues such as psychosis. Susceptibility can be higher in certain groups, including young adults, people with underlying heart conditions, and those with a personal or family history of psychiatric disorders. A new study published in the journal JAMA Cardiology found that regular cannabis users had vascular function about half that of non-users, similar to tobacco smokers. These findings highlight the need for greater awareness of cannabis’s potential impact on health and well being.
